Why we're building Steadfast.
Most of us have read the words. Fewer of us have practiced them. Steadfast exists to close that gap — a few minutes a day, repeated until it becomes character.
The idea
Steadfast is a daily formation app. Each day gives you a short lesson drawn from the great traditions of philosophy and faith, a question to think through, and one concrete practice to carry into the hours ahead. The simplest way to say it: a daily practice for the interior life, in the shape of an app you'll actually open.
Where we begin
At launch there are two paths — Stoicism and Catholicism. They are starting points, not the boundary. Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus, and Seneca sit beside Augustine, the Psalms, and the Gospels because both traditions insist on the same thing: knowledge is not formation until it is practiced. More traditions will follow.
How we think about it
A cornerstone is the first stone set, and every stone after is measured against it. Days are small; a year of them is a structure. We would rather help you place one stone well today than sell you a shortcut to a finished building.
